Bank of Baroda organizes a Mega Camp in Duttapukur (WB) under the Financial Inclusion Drive of the DFS, Government of India and launches a Festive campaign

Bank of Baroda organized a Mega Camp in Duttapukur, West Bengal, under the Saturation Campaign of the Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance, Government of India. The campaign, which ran from July 1 to September 30, 2025, aimed to ensure 100% coverage of financial inclusion and social security schemes at the Gram Panchayat (GP) and Urban Local Bodies (ULB) level across the country. The event saw enthusiastic engagement from more than 600 villagers, highlighting the growing need for financial literacy and accessible banking services in rural areas.

The programme was graced by the esteemed presence of Sudhanshu Prasad, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India; Sanjay Kumar Tiwary, General Manager & Zonal Head, Kolkata Zone, Bank of Baroda; Balbir Singh, General Manager & Convenor, SLBC (West Bengal), Punjab National Bank; Sandeep Kumar, Deputy General Manager & Regional Head, Greater Kolkata Region, Kolkata Zone, Bank of Baroda along with senior officials from the banking fraternity and Government departments.

The camp enabled local communities to access essential financial services, including opening new accounts under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) for unbanked individuals and facilitating enrolment in key social security schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), and Atal Pension Yojana (APY). Re-KYC drives were conducted for eligible inactive savings accounts under PMJDY, supported by awareness sessions on preventing digital fraud and facilitating claims for unclaimed deposits. Additionally, cheques were also given to the families of deceased insured members under the Pradhan Mantri

Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY).

As a part of its annual festive campaign i.e., “BOB Ke Sang Tyohaar Ki Umang – Shubh Bhi. Labh Bhi.”, Bank of Baroda has rolled out a range of festive offers for its retail and MSME customers. The campaign is designed to make the festive season more rewarding for customers by providing concessional interest rates, special offers, and value-added benefits on home loans, car loans, debit cards, etc.
